1:1 Coach Supervision
1:1 supervision is a safe place to show up with your coaching practice, as you continue to grow and reflect on your coaching competence and capability.
For new coaches, supervision is an important place to ground yourself, potentially bringing any self-doubt as you grow as a coach. I remember that stage too well and am grateful to my ‘wise owl’ supervisor who guided me through those days.
As an experienced coach, you might be looking for that deep reflective practice to add perspective and further learning, creating space to explore ethical dilemmas.
If you have an eye on accreditation, supervision is an integral part of your practice.
Wherever you are on your coaching journey, my Coaching Supervision services are designed with you in mind.
What You Can Expect
As a newly qualified coach, you can expect the following benefits from 1:1 Supervision with me:
Build confidence in your coaching skills as you build your competence and capability
Resource yourself as coach - staying centred, grounded and resourced as you hold space to reflect on what might be ‘your stuff’, enquire about transference, projection, deference, parallel process.
Create the space to develop awareness, reflect on and tend to the dynamics that arise in coaching relationships.
Have a ‘go to’ safe space when challenging sessions or coaching engagements occur e.g. mental health concerns, suicidal ideation, complexity within the system are just some examples.
If desired, we can create space for thinking about the practical side of growing a coaching business – value, positioning, how much to charge, contracts and how to win business.
What You Can Expect
As a coach with some or considerable experience, supervision also provides the space to:
Commit to deeper reflective practice
Develop your internal supervisor
Resource yourself with blend of grounding/centring with challenge and perspective
Think about the wider system and how you are showing up into that. Consider your stance as coach on emerging themes such as climate coaching, DE&I, Mental Health in Coaching
Reflect on ethical dilemmas
Consider your own capacity as coach – where life and clients may impact your own capacity to show up fully and cleanly
Think about your own Continuous Personal Development and how it feeds into your own growth
Work on Accreditation Application*
My 1:1 Coach Supervision is for you if you are comfortable with emergence and creative approaches. You will love working with me if you enjoy reflective practice and are keen to develop it as a skill.
It’s probably not for you if you are looking for coach supervision as a tick-the-box exercise for accreditation purposes.
You can get a deeper understanding of how I work, by reading about my values.
How I Work
As coach supervisor, my preferred approach is to
contract for an agreed number of sessions over a twelve month period
the number of sessions depends on your coaching hours
more as a newer coach, less as an experienced coach, but a minimum of four supervision sessions per year
work via Zoom or your preferred online platform
Maybe you are wondering how much supervision do you need? You can have a look here to refer to the different coaching bodies’ requirements.
